Yes, we can.

I won't be the only asshole to post this, but I'll give it a couple thoughts.

I do not support Senator Obama for President, not directly. I am an undecided Democratic voter. I will work for our nominee, whoever that is, because I believe that our worst is better than the best the GOP can offer. This video is part of the reason I believe that.

You sounded somewhat as frustrated as I feel. Good on you. Too tired to say more but it was so good to hear what you have to say that I just had to pop in and tell you. Take care of yourself and stay warm.

I was a decided voter, once upon a time, because a fellow I trusted (David Bonior) threw in with Edwards, but now it's a wash between Obama and Clinton and I'm okay with both of them, fwiw. I don't feel too bad about the lack of civility either, but then I grew up in a place where people always argued nastily before making up and being friendly again. [sigh] These things have a way of working out, I reckon. I hope it doesn't trouble you that much, but some of us are jerks that need to fight it out! I hope that won't get you down. It's not the candidate, it's the ideal. I think if we get a dem in the white house there begins the long hard struggle to push them in the direction of us regular folks. Like the narrator for the Superman show said: It's a neverending struggle for truth, justice and the American way.
Cheers.

Thanks!
I think it was you
who relayed my question to Sam.
I don't know if you spend much time lurking at SSSblog but recently Dada reminded me of this old favorite: Cthulhu 2008.
The lesser evil argument... So tired of that one.
I was reading an old book, Up The Organization, and was reminded that when you're hiring, you almost never get an applicant who is 100% of what you want. Settle for the best person you can get and work to make them better.

Now I know who it was. MMRules fessed up, so you don't have to explain it wasn't you. I will probably continue to suspect you in the future. :)

Legion's adolescent pettiness certainly changes the nature of his posts when you are visible at S3blog. Hard to tell if the number of posts actually increases because I don't know how many "friendlies" he operates. He's so proud of knowing every childish trick in the troll handbook, that I'm sure he also gets a kick out of pretending to be a liberal and being high-fived by regulars who'd spit if they knew who it really was. I do think things are only going to get worst at Sam's because it's a presidential election year. It's just the nature of the thing. Lots of new nics lately. [sigh] I'm trying to be more like Crank Bait, dealing with comments on their own merit (or lack of it), but my reflexes still get the best of me at times.

Oh, I was tickled that Tom Tomorrow's comic mentioned the candidates are job applicants and quoted one of my favorite Vonnegut pieces.

I had a pretty good day in the tubes. I could say Anyway, life is good here. A few ups a few downs. I can't complain. Hoping things are good for you, except for the "can't complain" part, because I do enjoy bitching and whining. ;)

Take care of yourself, and enjoy! Later.

I hope you had an excellent birthday. Take care, stay warm, keep your powder dry and enjoy!

Didn't have time to shop. All I have is some leftover certificates of insanity (customizable and suitable for framing) which don't seem quite right for you, but you never can tell. Sometimes nuttiness is contagious. If you catch some, just make sure you get a good flavor!
